Offering health education, HIV/STI awareness, and rehabilitation services
At Maya Ko Sansar (World of Love), we believe that health is a basic human right, not a privilege. For many transgender individuals, male and female sex workers, and other marginalized groups in Nepal, access to respectful, safe, and informed healthcare remains out of reach due to stigma, discrimination, and systemic neglect.
Our work is focused on bridging this gap — through education, outreach, and direct support services that save lives and restore dignity.
Health Education That Empowers
We provide comprehensive health education that is inclusive, non-judgmental, and tailored to the needs of our community. Our training sessions, workshops, and counseling programs cover:
Sexual and reproductive health rights
Safe sex practices
Contraception and family planning
Personal hygiene and wellness
Hormonal awareness and transgender-specific health information
We believe in body literacy — helping individuals understand and care for their own bodies, without shame or misinformation.
HIV/STI Awareness and Prevention
With over 17 years of field experience in HIV/AIDS response, our team has deep expertise in prevention and care. We conduct:
Free and confidential HIV/STI testing
Peer-to-peer outreach to promote testing and treatment
Distribution of condoms and lubricants to promote safe sex
Linkages to ART (Antiretroviral Therapy) for HIV-positive individuals
Counseling services for both prevention and post-diagnosis support
Our focus is not just on reducing infection rates, but also on fighting the stigma attached to HIV/AIDS — especially among transgender sex workers who are doubly marginalized.
Rehabilitation Services and Substance Use Recovery
Many in our community face mental health crises, trauma, and substance use challenges, often as a result of prolonged social rejection and violence. Maya Ko Sansar offers:
Psychosocial counseling with trained professionals
Referral and support for detox and recovery programs
Peer-led support groups for healing and reintegration
Safe spaces for individuals facing mental health breakdowns or substance dependency
We recognize that addiction is not a crime — it’s a health issue, and we support recovery through compassion, care, and community.
A Message of Healing and Hope
We don’t just offer services — we offer healing. Every HIV test, every counseling session, every rehabilitation story is a step toward dignity, safety, and freedom.
Because everyone — no matter their profession, gender identity, or past — deserves access to health, healing, and a second chance.
At Maya Ko Sansar (World of Love), we say:
“Health is not just about treating illness — it’s about restoring hope, confidence, and the right to live with dignity.”
