Sudip Kumar Thing – A Voice for the Voiceless

Sudip Kumar Thing is a founding member and the dynamic program coordinator of Mayako Sansar (World of Love). Young, energetic, and deeply committed to justice, Sudip is known for his passion for social work, his active role in political discourse, and his visionary strategies to uplift Nepal’s most marginalized communities—especially transgender individuals and the broader LGBTIQA++ population.

His journey into this movement began in 2012, when he first encountered information about the existence and struggles of the LGBTIQA+ community in Nepal. Like many young people, he had never been taught about gender diversity in school or college. The realization that even educated people—including teachers and intellectuals—often failed to recognize or respect the LGBTIQA+ community deeply disturbed him. That moment became a turning point. Instead of turning away, Sudip chose to dedicate himself to learning, unlearning, and fighting for visibility, inclusion, and dignity for those living in the margins.

From that moment forward, Sudip actively participated in community programs, outreach events, and legal awareness initiatives. His approach has always been rooted in humanism: the belief that every person—regardless of gender, sexuality, or background—deserves equal respect and opportunity. Through Mayako Sansar (World of Love), he now works tirelessly to make society aware that the LGBTIQA+ community is not separate from us—they live among us, they are us.

At Mayako Sansar (World of Love), Sudip handles a wide range of critical responsibilities. From proposal writing and project reporting to managing programs, events, content development, and full administrative operations—he ensures that every aspect of the organization runs effectively and with purpose. What makes Sudip truly remarkable is that he doesn’t do this work for money or personal gain. He does it out of a deep commitment to humanity. For him, social work is not a profession—it’s a responsibility.

A fearless advocate, Sudip often speaks up for those who cannot raise their own voices. Whether it’s confronting systemic injustice, exposing discrimination, or responding to violence, Sudip never stays silent. Politically aware yet independently driven, he believes in action over ideology. His strength lies in standing up for people—regardless of whether they are male, female, or part of the LGBTIQA+ spectrum.

Sudip Kumar Thing is more than just a coordinator—he is a fighter, a leader, and a believer in a more just world. His story is a reminder that real change often starts with one person choosing to care, choosing to act, and choosing to speak.
