Maya Ko Sansar

Helping a Young Woman and Her Family Obtain Nepali Citizenship

In 2025, Maya Ko Sansar (World of Love) achieved a remarkable milestone by successfully helping a young woman and her entire family obtain Nepali citizenship. This case was especially challenging because the young woman’s grandparents had never been granted citizenship, leaving the family without official proof of their lineage for generations.

When the young woman approached the organization with her concerns, Sunita Lama, the founder and president, personally took charge of the case. Despite suffering from a broken left leg, Sunita traveled all the way to Nuwakot and dedicated six months to tirelessly assisting the family through complex documentation, administrative procedures, and continuous dialogue with government officials.

Thanks to this relentless effort, the young woman, her father, and her brother were finally granted Nepali citizenship. This achievement stands as a historic, inspiring, and life-changing victory for Maya Ko Sansar and the entire community, symbolizing hope and justice for marginalized individuals seeking their rightful place in society.
