On Jestha 4, 2082 (May 17, 2025), the Maya Ko Sansar (World of Love) team proudly participated in the global observance of the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia, hosted by Mitini Nepal under the powerful theme “Samudayako Shakti – The Power of Community.”

This annual day stands as a global call to action against the hate, discrimination, and violence faced by the LGBTIQA+ community. In Nepal, despite progress, many individuals—especially transgender people and sex workers—continue to face stigma and exclusion. In such a context, our community becomes our greatest source of strength—a network that understands, embraces, and uplifts us.
Maya Ko Sansar participated with a delegation of 20 members from our organization. Our transgender members took center stage with a vibrant musical dance performance that was warmly received and celebrated by the audience. The performance was not just entertainment—it was a statement of pride, resilience, and visibility.
Events like this highlight the importance of visibility, representation, and solidarity. Every performance, every gathering, and every step forward sends a clear and bold message:
We exist. We are proud. We are powerful.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mitini Nepal for organizing such an inclusive and empowering event. Together, we are shaping a Nepal where equality, dignity, and justice are not just ideals—but everyday realities for the LGBTIQA+ community.
